We wish you a successful semester. Please be aware of the Department of Economics advising schedule below for this semester. Please call the Department of Economics at 305-348-2316 if you have any questions.
If you have an immediate advising need, please email sipaadvising@fiu.edu or attend Drop-in Advising. Drop-in advising allows students to access an advisor for 10-minute advising sessions on a first-come, first-serve basis.

If you need to meet with an advisor before then and your concern can be addressed during Drop-in Advising, please attend. If you do not see an appointment, then all the appointments have been booked. Appointments open weekly and sometimes (rarely) other students may cancel, so please check back regularly or attend Drop-in Advising.
If you do not know how to enroll in classes, please see https://onestop.fiu.edu/classes/register-for-classes/.
If you have an Orientation Hold, please make sure to attend Orientation for Spring 2024 which is two parts: Virtual Orientation and Academic Advising Orientation. For more information on Orientation and how to register, please see https://studentaffairs.fiu.edu/campus-services/orientation-and-family-programs/undergraduate-orientation/index.php.
If you are a Transfer Student or Fully Online student with an Orientation Hold, please check your FIU email for instructions regarding a group orientation session.
If you are trying to enroll in a class asking for a permission number, click "accept" and move forward. Most of the time, this is a glitch in the system. You should still be able to enroll in the class. If this does not work, then you will need permission.
For ECO 4903, please attend Drop-in Advising to get permission. Department Consent Required: Senior standing with priority given to students in their last semester. Students must meet with their assigned Academic Advisor in Economics or attend SIPA Drop-In Advising to be granted permission: https://sipa.fiu.edu/academics/advising/
